1- Find a Bondsman

The application requests basic information such as name, address, date of birth, inmate identification number, employer name, etc. There is an agreement to sign as well, stating that you’ll appear in court on the specified date and time to answer the charges placed against you.

3- Pay the Bond

Bondsmen charge 10% of the bond amount, plus a small bondsman fee. Pay this money to the bonding agent. Payment is accepted via cash, credit or debit card, or personal check. Some bondsmen also accept property bonds.

3- Wait

Once this is completed, the jail release process begins. This may take a few minutes or a few hours, depending on the situation at the jail. Individuals being bonded out of jail or released before others, however, which is reassuring to know.
